Safety
is of primary concern for our members. We
have ONE primary objective, to make sure that you get the most out of your tanning
experience and do it the safest way possible. We are an International
Smart Tan Certified Salon and all or our employees either have their Certifications
or are working towards taking their test. Whether
you are on a Caribbean Island or your backyard, excessive exposure to the sun's
ultraviolet rays can be damaging to your skin. Our Salon de Sol managers are required
to participate in training provided by the "International Smart Tan Institute."
"Smart Tan" certification assures you that our staff knows the
safest ways to help you achieve your tan in an indoor tanning environment. A comprehensive
skin analysis of our customers corresponding to specific exposure time recommendations
along with having complete knowledge of our equipment will allow us to meet this
goal. Their individualized education and certification
through this Nationally recognized institute assures you that they have been trained
in all aspects of tanning, including: * The Science of Tanning, * Ultraviolet
Light, and Health, * Minimizing the Health Risks of Tanning and Indoor Tanning

MODERATE TANNING, for
individuals who can develop a tan, is the smartest way to maximize the potential
benefits of sun exposure while minimizing the potential risks associated with

Salon de Sol, is also proud to be a member of A.R.T. S.. The Association
of Responsible Tanning Salons (A.R.T.S.) is a nonprofit risk-purchasing group
dedicated to the needs of responsible tanning salon owners.
In
addition, we take advantage of a wide variety of training and education resources
offered in the industry in order to maintain the latest information on tanning
and equipment performance introduced in the Industry.
The right beds and Staff are critical to providing our customers with the best tanning experience. As important, is the cleanliness of a salon. You can be assured that after every beds use, it is cleaned and sanitized thoroughly with hospital grade agents using fresh towels. This includes the top acrylic, both front and back rails to the canopy and the bench, the bottom acrylic at least 2 to 3 times and under the front of the bench where your knees might touch. But we don't stop there, we also sanitize the chair, wipe down the table and doorknobs and then leave the next customer with fresh towels and cleaned eyewear.

You must be 17 years of age or older. If you are under the age of 17 your must have parental permission before you can tan. If you are 14 or under you must also have a written doctors note to tan.
